Welcome to our Blog! This is how we will be communicating to all our friends and family throughout this exciting adventure of adding to our family once again. This will not be a short process, they're telling us 2 to 3 years before traveling will occur to receive our daughter. While waiting we plan to do some fundraising along the way and would love for you to be involved. Please feel free to sign up below to be a follower of our blog, we are encouraging everyone to do this. Also you can click the link below to sign our guest book and write a comment for our daughter to read someday. Most importantly, please pray for our family, that God will guide us and allow all things to happen according to His perfect timing! Thank you for your support, prayers, and for joining us in our adventure to China...

We have arrived in Nanning, China, which is the capital for her province which is Guangx. Our flight was 3 hrs. to get here. Nanning has about 3 million people. It is known as the "green city" because of all the beautiful trees and flowers around. It is also known as the "scooter city" You wouldn't believe how many scooters and electric bikes are running around, in and out of cars - it is crazy!
Once we arrived in Nanning we were to meet our new guide Belinda, but she wasn't there!!! We waited...and waited. We thought surely she could pick us out since we were the only Americans around...but no one came up to us. Feelings of our last adoption were surfacing. Scott was getting a little worried :-) We tried using a pay phone that took a credit card but it wouldn't work for us., so after a lot of hand motions, we finally got a very kind girl to let us use her cell phone. We called Uncel Zhoe. I don't think he was expecting to hear from us. :) Long story short...she got her times mixed up so she did get to us. She felt so, so bad and was so apologetic. Belinda speaks very good English and is really, really sweet. God answered a big prayer by giving her to us for our guide. She is the same age as we are, married with a 3 year old daughter and has been working with adoptions for a while now.
The hotel here is wonderful! It's got everything we need. Even a Walmart a few blocks away. :) Tonight, we went to dinner, watched a little of a Chinese wedding that was going on in the hotel. When we came back to our room, they had delivered a crib for Jazlyn!!!! We can't believe tomorrow is the day!! They are bringing her here to the hotel around 3pm. We can't wait to get her in our arms tomorrow!!! Tomorrows update should be a good one. :) No pics today, but I'm sure we will make up for it tomorrow!!!! Love everyone! Thanks for all the prayers!!
