Welcome to our Blog! This is how we will be communicating to all our friends and family throughout this exciting adventure of adding to our family once again. This will not be a short process, they're telling us 2 to 3 years before traveling will occur to receive our daughter. While waiting we plan to do some fundraising along the way and would love for you to be involved. Please feel free to sign up below to be a follower of our blog, we are encouraging everyone to do this. Also you can click the link below to sign our guest book and write a comment for our daughter to read someday. Most importantly, please pray for our family, that God will guide us and allow all things to happen according to His perfect timing! Thank you for your support, prayers, and for joining us in our adventure to China...

HOMESTUDY COMPLETE!!

Our homestudy has officially been completed as of 7/21/09.  We received our copy of the homestudy in the mail over the weekend.  This will be good for two years, which means with the long wait to adopt a child from China it will probably have to be updated at a later date.

The agency has sent a copy of the homestudy along with our I-800a (our petition to adopt a child) to the USCIS for their approval.  Once we get our approved certificate from them we will have to get federally fingerprinted.

I received all the paperwork and instructions yesterday from Kim (our EAC representative) to begin our dossier (China's paperwork packet).  I've already begun working on it.  So as soon as i can get everything completed on my end and EAC receives confirmation from the USCIS of our approval, then the dossier will be sent to China.

Our wait period begins once China receives our dossier.  Which according to Kim is still right around the 3 year mark.
